Youth Green Jobs Network Manager (2)

Location: Remote

Duration: part-time hours over 4 months in May 1 - August 31

Reports To: Co-Executive Director

Works With: Social Media Community Manager, Youth Green Careers Specialist

Tentative Start Date: ASAP

Salary: $15 - $20 per hour commensurate with experience and being Canada Summer Jobs program eligible

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Research youth green jobs and make daily posts in the Youth Green Jobs Network

• Curate a bi-weekly list of youth green jobs to share with our community

• Creating community guidelines including how to source good green jobs for youth

• Invite sustainability connections and community leaders to join the group

• Approve membership requests and posts adhering to our guidelines

• Increasing the membership and reach of the network by sharing the network and our guidelines with like minded community members, businesses, NGOs, nonprofits and charities

• Develop additional strategies to increase group membership

Qualifications:

• Passion for helping youth attain good green jobs

• Knowledge of employers offering youth green jobs in what is currently known as Canada

Assets:

• Experience working with youth and community-led groups

• Experience with research in the environmental field

• Bilingualism in English and French
