Youth Green Careers Specialist (2)

Location: Hybrid (may require occasional in-person travel in Toronto & GTA)

Duration: part-time 4 months in May 1 - August 31

Reports To: Co-Executive Director

Works With: Youth Green Jobs Network Manager, Social Media Community Manager

Tentative Start Date: May 2

Salary: $15 - $20 per hour commensurate with experience and being Canada Summer Jobs program eligible


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the research and development of our youth green career tools (i.e. wage subsidy tool, resume and CV tips for youth green jobs, green jobs equity guide for employers, LinkedIn profile maximizations for green jobs, etc.)

  • Work with community partners to co-create and cross-promote youth green career development tools

  • Host virtual workshop to offer youth professional development and green career development support

  • Plan for the in-person youth green careers and opportunities fair event hosted in the fall of 2022

  • Assist in the creation and development of youth green careers mentorship program



  • Passion for helping youth attain good green jobs

  • Knowledge of career development tools and resources



  • Experience working on career development

  • Experience leading research projects

  • Experience with event management and leading workshops

  • Bilingualism in English and French
